Pizzeria Delfina Expands to the Burbs, Burlingame Branch on the Way

Hipster pizza in the ‘burbs? Yep, thanks to Craig and Anne Stoll, the patriarch and matriarch of the Delfina empire, the bourgeoisie of Burlingame will soon no longer have to settle for Round Table for their ‘za fix since the couple announced plans to open their third and largest outpost of Pizzeria Delfina in downtown Burlingame (1444 Burlingame Ave).

According to The Chronicle, the new Burlingame Avenue branch will be designed by the Stoll’s long-time design firm Envelope A + D (and masterminds behind Hayes Valley’s Proxy Project), will be significantly larger than the tiny 18th St Mission original or its larger Pacific Heights branch, and will boast a large rear patio which will probably be less likely to need outdoor heaters than at its city brethren. Alas, Burlingamers will have to wait until next spring for their Neapolitan pizza redemption. The ETA for the branch is being envisioned for June 2013.
