Chef Alex Garcia has drawn burger lovers to the Upper West Side with the countless offerings at his A.G. Kitchen, which opened last year, and now he's trying to lure people even farther uptown with Amigos, a pop-up restaurant that will operate in Morningside Heights for a four-month stint. The chef won't be alone in the kitchen, as the eatery will feature a rotating selection of Mexican dishes from notable chefs like Adrian Leon and Roberto Santibanez. Right now, the menu consists of crowd-pleasers like queso fundido, tacos and fajitas. And yes, there will be a burger - fans of the UWS kitchen will be happy to see the Manhattan Latin burger, which is topped with guac, cheddar, bacon and special sauce.

Drinkers, perhaps from the nearby university, can share 32 ounce fish bowls while those who aren't quite as thirsty can sip beverages like the vodka-spiked shark attack (which comes complete with a squeaky shark). The space is decked out in colorful decor that features antique mirrors, vintage license plates and hubcaps - for now you can sit at communal tables, and when its gets warmer out (soon, please) you can check out a 36-seat patio that will open in the spring. The restaurant is now open at (2888 Broadway; 212-864-1143).
