Spice Market - the London offshoot of chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s New York hot spot - has just launched The Raw Bar. The new ground floor bar aims to provide a healthy alternative to the influx of gourmet junk food in the area.
On the menu: light Pan-Asian dishes like salmon tartare, soy ginger dressing avocado and radish, wild sea bass sashimi with green chilli, pistachios and mint, along with sea scallops marinated in coconut milk and served with water chestnuts and lime juice. Beef tartare with Chinese mustard sauce and pickled cucumber and shaved tuna with chilli tapioca and Asian pear coconut-lime dressing are also on offer. These healthier options can also be ordered by those eating in the main restaurant.
