Many restaurants affected by Hurricane Sandy have bounced back after the damage associated with floods and losing power, but dozens of venues are still down for the count and trying to reopen. This is a expensive process, and the mayor's office is putting the word out that they are there to help. They sent info to Eater reminding restaurant owners that there is financial assistance for folks struggling to reopen. Check it out:

"For those still looking for financing, the city is offering $25,000 loans with zero interest for the first six months and one percent for the next 24 months. They're also offering a $10,000 matching grant for businesses who secure a $10,000 loan from a bank. There is now a tax exemption on certain rebuilding equipment, Disaster Unemployment Assistance is available for many, and they're offering free co-working space and supplies."
