It's
claimed that Britain's consumption of garlic per head surpasses that of France - could London be on the way to beating the Americans at their own game by taking the top-spot for chewing through burgers? It seems that you can't escape the burger invasion at the moment, whether that's luxury burgers from
Hawksmoor, gooey burgers steeped in
MeatLiquor, pop-up burgers in a
Dirty Burger shed, distressed burgers from
Byron or plain
Honest Burgers. Last week we heard the U.S. Shake Shack chain was moving to England, and now another chain, Five Guys - President Obama's favourite, no less - is getting in on the action.
Without wanting to jump the gun, surely at this rate the Big British Burger Backlash™ cannot be far away?
