It's all benedicts and beignets at the Hollywood restaurant on Tuesday, with a wide array of both on special for the day: Benedicts with musubi, smoked salmon, vegan tofu, spicy burger, spinach or even buttermilk biscuits; and lemon ricotta, coconut-kaya, and vegan chocolate espresso or simply powdered sugar beignets. The regular lunch menu of globally inspired eats are also available, meaning kaya toast, the ultimate hangover treat (742 N. Highland Ave.; 323-203-0500).

Down in Manhattan Beach, David LeFevre and crew roll out a special Tuesday brunch with all the favorites like bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits, truffle honey fried chicken and French toast stuffed with house-made ricotta. Brunch ends at 3 PM, and the restaurant will be closed for dinner (1142 Manhattan Ave.; 310-545-5405).
The Hungry Cat
Both the Hollywood and Santa Monica locations are open for brunch on New Year's Day, and we can personally attest that a proper Greyhound or Bloody Mary filled with pickle vegetables and the crab cake Benedict or scrambled eggs with fine herbs are exactly what your hangover needs. Tart
The little restaurant that could at the Farmer's Daughter hotel will take 15% off the bill of anyone in their pajamas. And you know the drill: Jump in pool in said pajamas and get 50% off your bill; do it with your cellphone, and they cover the whole thing. The restaurant is open until 10 PM so you can roll in those jammies any time (115 S. Fairfax Ave.; 323-556-2608).
Mohawk Bend
The Echo Park spot known for California craft brews and spirits will serve its brunch menu all day long, things like Elvis French toast, tofu scrambles, hangar steak hash and more. The regular Bloody Marys will be only $5, but expect a few special ones on the menu as well (2141 W. Sunset Blvd.; 213-483-2337).
Salt's Cure
Brunch is big at this teensy West Hollywood spot, but it's usually not served on weekdays. Tuesday Chris Phelps and Zak Walters will be serving up their brunch menu - yes, including that bacon - and some specials. Mimosas will be at the ready. Open from 10 AM to 4 PM (7494 Santa Monica Blvd.; 323-850-7258).
Ray's and Stark Bar
Kris Morningstar wants you to ease into the New Year with things like smoked herring and crispy garlic, capers and country bread; pork belly and grits with a sunny-side up egg; and truffled egg with Benton's country ham and crispy potatoes. You can get a Bloody Mary or warm up with the Phil's Lamumba. Brunch starts at 11:30 AM, and LACMA is open all day, so you can start off on that "get more cultured" resolution right away (5905 Wilshire Blvd.; 323-857-6197).
Caulfield's
Now that the renovation is complete and new chef has settled in, the restaurant at the Thompson Beverly Hills is ready to serve brunch. Debuting on Tuesday, dishes like pizzettes with Smithfield ham and fried eggs, breakfast risotto with egg yolk, hazelnuts and wild mushrooms, or a bowl of superfood will hit the spot. Served 10 Am to 3 PM, and then continues every Saturday and Sunday (9360 Wilshire Blvd.; 310-388-6860).
