Sports fans: What are your favorite neighborhood restaurants and bars to watch the Giants? The A's? and 49-ers? Tell us in the comments below and if we like your recommendations, we'll feature it.
Momo’s: During the game, Momo’s will have six TVs set up inside and two TVs outside for watching the action. In addition, there will also be a raffle for those stay in the dining room throughout the game (winner gets a gift certificate to cover their meal) and the management will also be giving away special Black VIP all access cards to get you past the line pre and post game at all three of the restaurant group’s properties--Momo’s, Pete’s and Pedro’s. Check Open Table for reservations or just show up 3-4 hours prior to game time.
Pete’s Tavern: There are plenty of TVS to watch the action and an additional satellite bar set up to accommodate the crowds, but the tavern doesn’t take reservations so management recommends swinging by at least four hours prior to the first pitch to get a seat. Those who order bottle service will get priority seating. Both Pete’s and its sibling Pedro’s Cantina (see below) will be offering drink specials during the 7th inning.
Pedro’s Cantina: Yes, they’ll be screening the game and the Mexican brother of Pete’s and Momo’s will be setting up two satellite bars to quench the throngs. Again, get there early (it’s walk-in only) and plan to stick around until the 7th inning to take advantage of drink discounts. Bring cash to speed up the process.
Public House and Mijita: It’s game on (as in shown on 24 TVs at former, 3 at the latter, with full sound on) at these Willie Mays Plaza properties just outside AT & Park this weekend but expect the usual routine. They won’t be any drink and food specials but KNBR will be broadcasting out on the front patio on Saturday before the game and the energy in the room will be, shall we say, exuberant. Remember, if you are a ticket holder, Public House has a secret entrance directly into the stadium that allows avoiding the crush at the gates.
Lucky Strike: Watch the Orange & Black strike out the Reds while throwing some strikes of your own at this South Beach bowling boite. Even if you don’t get a lane (neither bowling nor tables can be reserved in advance), you can catch the baseball action on one the many TVs hung over the three bars and the projection screen in the main alley room.
Paragon: Reservations prior to the first pitch are almost already all booked up for Saturday, but there are still plenty of tables open for watching the game at this South Beach spot that has four TVs going at once. There’s nothing on the books yet for Sunday so if you’re wanting to dine before the game on Sunday, call over as soon as details for Game 2 are announced, The management has opened up the private rooms as well to accommodate the anticipated pre-playoff dining rush.
Zeke’s Sports and Grill: It’s a bit farther away from the stadium than the others, but with 20 flatscreen TVS and daily drink specials ($3.50 well drinks, $3.50 domestic beers), this SoMa spot is away from the King St madness but still a great spot to catch Game 1 and 2.
