Burger Dive is open in Somerville
With names like the 50/50 Baconator, Ultimelt and Jack’s BBQ Smokehouse, you know you’re getting more than the regular burger. Enter Burger Dive, a new fast-casual eatery in Somerville that’s officially opened in the Assembly Square Mall in Somerville, which is being newly developed.

The burger-focused resto by Legendary Restaurant Group (Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen, Papagayo, Max & Dylans) offers more than a half-dozen options, including a build-your-own-burger, hot dogs, milkshakes, salads (yeah, right) and desserts like cupcakes. Burgers run $4.99-$7.99, shakes go for $4.99-$5.99, and nothing on the menu tops $7.99 (for now).

The industrial space seats about 40 and is a funky backdrop to the action. In warmer weather outdoor seating will accommodate up to 100 or so. Though no alcohol is served at this time, there’s hope to spike the milkshakes with the hard stuff down the road, according to general manager Manny Paula.

Legendary Restaurant Group is also slated to open another Papagayo, the group's Mexican concept, in a newly developed complex at the mall in 2014.

Burger Dive is open Sunday through Thursday 11 AM-10 PM, and Friday and Saturday 11 AM-11 PM.
