Stephen Starr Wants to Open Two Philadelphia Hotels

Over the weekend, Philadelphia Magazine held ThinkFest, a two-day “innovation conference.” The opening session featured Philly Mag editor Tom McGrath with Stephen Starr, and during the interview the restaurant mogul offered up several interesting tidbits.

Most exciting is his stated desire to open two boutique hotels in Philly, one in Rittenhouse plus a “rock ‘n’ roll” hotel in Fishtown. Starr also revealed he interviews every single employee at Starr Restaurants, a company with a staff of around 3,000. Attention to detail, much?
