Preview Ricardo Zarate's Paiche at Ceviche Nights Downtown

Paiche ins't just a Peruvian fish Ricardo Zarate serves at Mo-Chica in Downtown LA, it's the name of his forthcoming Marina del Rey seafood restaurant that's set to open next year. For a couple of Sundays in December, he'll preview just what's in store for the new menu at the Ceviche Nights dinner series with chefs Josiah Citrin (Melisse), Bryant Ng (The Spice Table) and Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market) putting their own spins on the dishes.

The special menus will feature various ceviche presentations and non-traditional accompaniments, plus dessert and beer pairings. On December 9, Citrin joins Zarate for a five-course all-uni menu with New Belgium Brewing poured along with it ($85 per person, $16 beer flight). And on December 16, Ng and Yenbamroong spice things up with a seven-course menu and Firestone Walker Brewing Co. beers ($75 per person, $16 beer flight). This is a ticketed event only - get them here - with proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, all going down at Mo-Chica with seating starting at 5:30 PM (514 W. 7th St.).
