PETA Releases "Broccoli Obama" Shirt After Favorite Food Quote

President Obama recently told some kid reporters that his favorite food was broccoli, which ignited debate and skepticism as the President had previously been quoted saying various other foods were his "favorite." But now PETA is pouncing on this pro-broccoli moment by releasing the above t-shirt, promoting Obama's love of the green veggie with the absurd image of a broccoli stalk growing out of his head. What you may not realize is that the cruciferous veggie has been a hot-button issue for several previous presidents, as the WSJ notes here, beginning with George H.W. Bush. Maybe suspected Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will usher in the "kale era" in 2016.
