While New Yorkers are getting the H out of the city for the month of July, two big name chefs are coming to town for special events. First up it's Philly's Marc Vetri and Brad Spence (of Amis) who will be hanging with Darin and Greg Bresnitz in Brooklyn for a BBQ Blowout. The party takes place on Tuesday, July 9 at Good Company (10 Hope Street)from 7 to 10 PM and the $10 tickets include a plate of food and a beer, with extras available for purchase. Then, on Friday, July 12 it's Louisville's Edward Lee who will be in town promoting his first book, Smoke and Pickles. His party will be at City Grit, one of our favorite culinary venues in town. He'll be in the house from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and your $75 ticket will get you a signed copy of the book along with grub, unlimited Singha, and some red boat fish sauce to take home with you.
