The launch of
ABC Cocina in the Pipa space isn't the only exciting development that's coming to the
ABC Carpet and Home space in 2013. A reliable source tells us that the Jean-Georges eatery is planning to launch a to-go concept sometime by the end of the year. Details are scarce at this point, but we're told it may take over one of the storefronts that share the space (note to planners: we think pizza for lunch sounds like a swell idea).
We also hear that a greenmarket may be coming to the basement of the restaurant and marketplace, so guests can pick up some of the fresh produce that makes the fare so popular. Not sure exactly how this is going to work out with the popular Union Square marketplace nearby, but signs point to a launch in a few months, before the to-go concept is up and running.
