Saloon in Somerville
It’s a rite of passage this time of year - eating haggis, a Scottish “pudding” made with sheeps organs in honor of the Scottish poet Robert Burns, who wrote about the dish. Burns' birthday is January 25. Saloon and The Haven are holding events. (Bondir, which celebrates with a special dinner on January 29, has a waiting list). Tonight, January 22, Saloon will pair its haggis meal (and other courses) with whiskey (6:30 PM; $45 per person; call 617-628-4444 or click here for tickets). The Haven in Jamaica Plain just added late seating for its Burns dinner this weekend, Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26 (9 PM; $40 per person; 617-524-2836).
