Breakfast sandwiches are made to order. “We really crack eggs – no weird patties of eggs,” says Miller, and lunch features sandwiches like Reubens, paninis chicken pesto and more. Dinner entrees are of the homestyle kind - braised short ribs, turkey dinner and the like. Guests eat in at the 16-seat cafe with cheery colors.
Counter service mitigates the cost. Breakfast sandwiches run $5-$6; lunch sandwiches are $8.22 no matter what; and dinner entrees aren’t more than $15. No beer or wine, but plenty of friendliness.
The Squeaky Beaker opened earlier this year. Miller also owns the 2nd Street Café also in Cambridge.
