Brass Monkey Launches Restaurant Within The Bar

The Brass Monkey is our go-to destination in the Meatpacking District when we're feeling like a drink without the d-bags, and now the bar is launching a stand-alone restaurant within the space dubbed The Copper Room. The two-story room was built using salvaged material from the Coney Island Thunder Horse carousel and the Grand Ballroom of the Puck Building.

Of course beer lovers will find a lot to like - there are nine draft lines that will feature a rotating selection of American brews. Those should pair well with the hearty menu of comfort food which features options like beer battered fish and chips and beef brisket sandwiches. The joint is tucked away in the back corner of the bar, and will be open until 2 AM nightly. After a bar hop in the hood, you could do a lot worse (55 Little West 12th Street).
