After attempts to have Henry's Tacos designated as a Historic Cultural Monument, and busy "Save Henry's Tacos" Facebook group showing its support of the 50-year-old stand, owner Janis Hood has decided to stop battling the landlord and close up shop at the end of this month. Hoold says in a letter that, "Henry's is just too much for me as a single, childless woman approaching 60 with no family within 1700 miles. I have had several prospective buyers committed to continuing the tradition, but all have been turned down by the landlord." So she wants to keep the building and business intact but feels roadblocked. Her fans, including Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, refuse to take the news laying down.

Paul Tweeted earlier today: "We must save @HenrysTacos from closing! Come join me for lunch this Sunday at 2pm!! Join the masses and eat some tacos!! Tell your friends." Other celebs showing their support include Elijah Wood and Chris Pine, who said he's been eating there since he was 7 years old. And there's a petition to save the building as a relevant architectural Valley gem due to it's classic Googie look, which will be lost if landlord Mehran Ebrahimpour decides to redevelop the property. And what about the tacos, people. SAVE THE CRISPY TACOS. [Via LA Observed; Patch]
