Photo of the Day: Sunny Lemon Cakes at Bittersweet Treats

We popped our head into the two-day-old Bittersweet Treats in Pasadena to find pretty little things like these beautiful lemon cake just coming out of the oven. Danielle Keene was frosting cookies in the back while co-owner Linda Chen greeted everyone who stopped to check the new kid on the block. The counters were covered in sweets of every ilk - better-than-Oreo baleros, coffee cakes, cream pies and thick chocolate chip cookies. If Euro Pane down the boulevard is a hub for Cal Techies, Bittersweet definitely attracts the Pasadena Community College crowd. After all, it's right across the street.
