Tonight is the last night of the year for Keller’s famous Ad Hoc buttermilk fried chicken at Bouchon in Beverly Hills. Along with that crispy golden bird you get roasted parsnips, collard greens and parker house rolls. Dine in or order it all to go. $36 per person. 5-10:30 PM (235 N. Canon Dr.; 310-271-9910).
Tuesday
Just as white truffle season winds down, starting this week, all three Chaya restaurants will offer a Winter Truffle Affair to celebrate the seasonal Perigord winter black truffle. Taste the delicacy in a spacial five-course menu ($149) or order dishes a la carte with wine pairings. Each restaurant has a different menu - among other dishes, you'll find handmade pheasant tortellini with aged balsamic truffle vinaigrette at Chaya Brasserie; loup de mere encrusted in salt with asparagus, béarnaise and truffle at Chaya Downtown; and Dungeness crab with Japanese grain risotto with truffles at Chaya Venice. The truffle menus are available through December 15.
Wednesday
Another PizzaRev opens today in the Valley, this time in Woodland Hills. The signature thin super customizable pizzas take less than three minutes, only cost $7.95 and come topped with everything from artichokes to chocolate and raspberry sauces (here's our take on the Studio City location). The shop opens at 11 AM (6439 Canoga Ave.; 818-505-1748).
Thursday
If you're an early bird kind of diner, Venice's uber-popular Superba Snack Bar is now taking reservations 6-7 PM Monday through Thursday and 5:30-6:30 PM Friday and Saturday nights. Hey, it beats waiting in line for Jason Neroni's pastas and seasonal dishes, which you'll still have to do if you go in any other time (533 Rose Ave.; 310-399-6400).
Friday
If you want to check all those splashy twinkling holiday lights at LA Live, stop by LA Market at the JW Marriott hotel. It's the perfect spot to view all that electric holiday spirit, which is on display through January 2. Grab dinner and go ice skating on the Nokia Plaza: a prix fixe menu and skate rental package is only $30 for adults and $20 for kids (900 W. Olympic Blvd.; 213-765-8600).
Saturday
'Tis the season for bubbly and lots of it. Wood & Vine has a special sparkling tasting tonight that includes five different sips from Sharffenberger and Roderer. And nothing goes better with bubbles like oysters, so you'll get six to go along with the sparklers. Only $25 per person. Reservations recommended by not required. 3-6 PM (6280 Hollywood Blvd.; 323-334-3360).
Sunday
Explore the ways food and cities go hand in hand at Foodprint LA, an afternoon of free panel discussions at LACMA's Brown Auditorium (12:30-5:30 PM). Panelists include everyone from Jonathan Gold to Christina Agapakis, a synthetic biologist who has made cheese from the different microbes on different parts of people's bodies, and Rudy Espinoza, who runs a micro-loan investment program for healthy food trucks. On Saturday (Dec. 8), there's a foodscape walking tour of the Downtown LA Arts District curated by Alissa Walker, design writer, professional pedestrian and gelato eater.
