Best Thing We Drank Last Night: Black Bee at The Parish

We like beer and we like cocktails, so when you bring the two together, we're practically giddy. The Parish specialty cocktail list is short and sweet, filled with sweet and savory concoctions courtesy bar man John Coltharp. We tried the Black Bee last night, which brings barrel-aged bourbon, lemon, honey and stout together in a glass. The quaff is a little heady but very smooth, and has a slight chocolate taste due to the beer. It might not be on the new happy hour menu, but it is perfectly fitting for the first tastes of fall.
