McDonald's Promises Certified Sustainable Fish From Now On

Fish McBites slinger McDonald's will only sell sustainably certified fish from now on according to the Chicago Tribune. The fast food giant will begin using a Marine Stewardship Council Seal on all its fish products - this announcement is the result of an audit made by the brand (they had previously announced sustainability in 2005). Dan Gorsky, senior vice president of U.S. supply chain and sustainability at McDonald's described the certification as "a critical part of our company's journey to advance positive environmental and economic practices in our supply chain."
