Angel City's taproom is shaping up |
Our local beer brewing scene continues to get better and better, and it's almost impossible to keep up with everything that's going on. Under construction for what seems like years now (although
new owners took it over last year),
Angel City Brewing is on track to open the public in the next few months. According to the
LAT, the fully refurbished tap room will be unveiled first, and brewmaster Dieter Foerstner continues to roll out new beers that are showing up on taps around town.
Over at
Golden Road Brewing, Jesse Houck has replaced Jon Carpenter as brewmaster. Houck, who met GR president Meg Gill at SF's 21st Amendment Brewery several years ago, was most recently head brewer for Drake's Brewing Company in San Leandro. He'll continue on the IPA and canned beer route, but also expanding GR's craft beer repertoire.
