Just in time to take full advantage of the Dungeness crab season comes Mission Street Oyster Bar, a new raw bar and seafood-centric in the Mission. Chef-owner Fredy Gamez earned his sea legs at Anchor Oyster Bar in the Castro where he worked for nearly two decades and he brings a similar straightforward affordable menu of daily selection of rocks, steamed seafood, fried fish platters and other American surf classics such as Boston clam chowder, cioppino and garlic crab, along with a few turf options to the small storefront that’s awash with aquamarine colors and a 28-foot long bar that hosts happy hour specials such as $1 oysters and $2.50 draft craft beer.
