Henry's Tacos Gets a Reprieve

Janis Hood's Christmas miracle came in the shape of a two-week reprieve for the iconic Henry's Tacos stand, which was slated to close this week after a year-long battle with her landlord. Hood, the owner of the iconic Studio City stand that her grandfather opened more than 50 years ago, now has time to help broker a deal between a prospective buyer and Beverly Hills businessman Mehran Ebrahimpour, who owns the property. After last weekend's crowds, the ongoing social media efforts, celebrity-driven eat-ins and fans paying their last respects to crispy tacos and vintage signs, Hood says she'll keep it open until at least January 10.
