The Painted Burro in Somerville |
Since Spike’s Junkyard Dogs at 217 Elm St. in David Square in Somerville closed earlier this month, folks at
The Painted Burro will soon be getting the space ready for the Burro Bar. The casual concept will focus on craft cocktails and a wide variety of tequilas and beers, with 20 craft beers on tap and in bottles. Dinner will be served nightly, with the menu provided by The Painted Burro. On Saturday and Sunday, it will serve lunch, a menu of Mexican sandwiches, tortas and tacos. Bingo, darts and a jukebox are all part of the plan to make this joint happening.
Renovations will likely start before the holidays, according to a Painted Burro spokesperson. The bar is slated to open in early 2013. By the way, other
Spike's Junkyard Dogs locales are still open.
