Meat Mission - the third standalone restaurant from Yianni Papoutsis is now open in Hoxton. The latest opening from the guerilla burger king behind Meat Liquor and Meat Market will start to take booking after Christmas but for now it is queuing as usual.
The restaurant - in an old Christian mission building - is divided into two sections - the bar and no-booking area. (When they start to take bookings those who reserve can sit by the one way glass and feel sorry for those standing in line out in the cold.)
As well as classic favourites like the Dead Hippie Burger, Fried Pickles and Dirty Chicken Burger, there are a few new additions such as Currywurst and Red in Bread - an edible bread bowl filled with beef chilli served with cheddar cheese, onions, jalapenos and mustard. Also not to be missed are on-trend Monkey Fingers - battered chicken slathered in homemade chilli sauce and served with blue cheese dip. Race you there!
